Most Auspicious Temples in Lucknow

Lucknow city is popularly known for its Awadhi Culture but is also very famous for its renowned temples. These hold huge devotions for their devoted Gods and Goddesses. Apart from its historical buildings existence one can also offers their blessings to their deity Gods. The city is dedicated with numbers of temples situated in various regions of Lucknow. Some of these were built in the ancient times. Peoples of religious, courteous and spiritual nature make a permanent visit to these places. This city famous for the temples holds beliefs in the hearts of its pilgrims.
Most renowned places of worship here are Chandrika Devi Temple (Lucknow-Sitapur Road), Chhachhi Kuan Hanuman Temple (Aliganj), Aliganj Hanuman Temple (Near Kapoorthala Aliganj), Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple (near Gomti Bridge),   Mankameshwar Temple (Daliganj), Bhooth Nath Temple (Indira Nagar), Bari Kali Mandir (Chowk) and many more.

Among them Chandrika Devi Temple is said to be about 300 years old and is known for deity Chandrika Devi- one of the form of Goddess Durga. It is spread in around 28 Kms and holds the religious significance from the time of The Ramayana. Chhachhi Kuan Hanuman Temple is also known from about 1585 AD and was later fully constructed by Janabe Alia. This place depicts a perfect example of Hindu Muslim Unity with its build structure. The season of Bada Mangal is celebrated on a large scale in the city. On this occasion Aliganj Hanuman Temple is queued up with a long line by its devotees. People enjoy this festival popularly known as Bada Mangal Mela celebrated through the city. Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple is the revered temple situated here it was built in 1967 after when during the flood of 1960 flowed everything except the idol of the Lord Hanuman. The temple of Lord Shiva is Mankameshwar Temple which is jam-packed with its devotees at the time of Maha Shivratri. During the time of Navratri the roop of Navdurgas are preached in Bari Kali Mandir. It is considered one of the oldest temples in Lucknow City.
