King’s George medical College also known as Chatra Pati Shahu ji Maharaj University has helped in the sector off health issues from years. This medical university along with looking after the ailing persons has also catered top medical teachings to its teachers. Thus, in 1932 Queen Mary’s hospital was built and inaugurated by Sir Malcom Hally (the then Governor of united province of Oudh). With this a new department for Obstetrics and Gynecology section was organized with immediate effects.

Today the hospital is consisting of units opened like Post-Partum Unit, Minor Operation Theatre, Antenatal Care Unit, Postnatal Care Unit, Neonatology Unit and Emergency Operation Theatre. The hospital is considered one of the best medical facility offering to the women. The government from time to time has introduces new facilities for the ladies. According to the national health Mission, the Board of this hospital has decided that now fees will be charged for a labor service. Under this, the medical tests of a pregnant woman, medicines and birth facilities including the vaccination will be free of cost.
